Love is patient and everything else is impatient. If there is no patience, there is no love. Passion is impatient, love is patient. And once you understand that to be patient is to be loving, and to be patient is to be in prayer, then everything is understood. One has to wait, and one has to learn how to wait.
ResponderEliminarThere are things that cannot be done; they only happen. There are things that can be done, but those things belong to the world. Things which cannot be done belong to God, or belong to the other world, or howsoever you name it. But things that cannot be done – only they are the real things. They always happen to you; you become a receiving end – and that is the meaning of surrender.
Become a receiving end; be patient and just wait. Wait with deep love, prayerfulness, gratitude – gratitude for that which has already happened, and patience for that which is going to happen. Ordinarily the human mind does just the opposite. It is always grumbling for that which has not happened, and it is always too impatient for it to happen. It is always complaining, never grateful. It is always desiring, and never creating the capacity to receive. A desire is futile if you don’t have the capacity to receive it. So change to orange and become a deep receptivity, and much is going to happen. Your energy is moving perfectly and is flowing. What are you doing there?

Tradicionalmente se te ha inculcado que los hombres deben tomar la iniciativa en el amor, no las mujeres; va en contra del encanto femenino. Todas estas ideas están anticuadas. ¿Por qué vas a estar en un segundo plano desde el principio? Si amas a un hombre, ¿por qué esperar? Conozco a muchas mujeres que han esperado durante años porque querían que el hombre tomara la iniciativa. Pero se enamoraron de hombres que no iban a tomarla nunca.
ResponderEliminarConozco a una mujer en Bombay que estaba enamorada de Krishnamurti. Permaneció soltera toda su vida esperando a que él tomara la iniciativa. Era una de las mujeres más bellas que he conocido pero Krishnamurti está absolutamente pleno consigo mismo, no necesita a nadie que lo complete. Evidentemente, él nunca tomó la iniciativa. Y, por supuesto, la mujer, víctima de un condicionamiento de miles de años, no podía tomarla; eso va en contra el encanto femenino, es algo “primitivo”.
En realidad, no existe ninguna razón por la que la mujer tenga que esperar a que el hombre tome la iniciativa. Si la mujer siente amor hacia alguien, debería tomar la iniciativa y no debería sentirse humillada si al hombre no le apetece. Eso les acercará a la igualdad. Atrae al hombre; lo intenta de todas las formas posibles: con su belleza, la ropa, el perfume., su peinado; con todo lo que pueda. Atrae al hombre, y una vez que lo ha atraído, sale corriendo. Pero tampoco corre demasiado rápido. No hace más que mirar atrás para comprobar si el pobre chico va tras ella o no. Si lo deja muy atrás, espera un poco. Cuando se acerca otra vez, vuelve a correr.
Eso es una tontería; el amor debería ser una cuestión transparente. Amas a alguien, le manifiestas tu amor y te dices: “No estás obligado a decir sí;respetaré tu negativa. No es más que lo que yo deseo. No tienes que aceptar si no te apetece, porque si tú no sientes amor hacia mí ese sí será peligroso. Solo si me amas nuestra vida podrá llegar a ser completa”.
